Bangladesh regains the seventh position after defeating India

Kriralok Desk: Bangladesh cricket team regained the seventh place in the ICC ODI rankings after defeating India by 6 runs in the last match of the Asia Cup Super Four. Bangladesh’s rating point is 94.

In the Super Four phase, Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by 2 wickets and topped Bangladesh to reach seventh place. The Tigers regained seventh place in 24 hours. Sri Lanka has dropped to eighth place with 93 rating points.

However, if they beat India in the final of the Asia Cup, Sri Lanka will go back to the seventh place behind Bangladesh. Then Sri Lanka’s rating point will be 95 and Bangladesh’s will be 94.

Currently, the rating point gap between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is only 1. But if India wins the final against Sri Lanka, the gap between Bangladesh and Lankans will be 2 rating points. Bangladesh will be 94th, Sri Lanka will be 92nd.

After losing to Bangladesh last night, India dropped to third place in the ranking. Australia also lost rating points after losing the fourth ODI of the series to South Africa on the same day.

It has the same 115 rating points as second-placed Pakistan, but Australia has retained the top position in terms of fractions. If India wins against Sri Lanka, India will have 115 rating points equal to Australia-Pakistan.

And if Australia loses to South Africa in the last ODI of the series, then Pakistan will once again take the lead as a fraction.
