Samuel Badree in the Caribbean coaching panel

Kriralok Desk: A few days ago, he was one of the most successful leg spinners of the West Indies. This time former leg spinner Samuel Badree joined the coaching panel of the Caribbean. The former cricketer will serve as interim coach Andre Cole’s assistant for the ODI and T20 series in South Africa.

However, he served as a spin consultant for the Windies team before taking on the role of assistant coach.

After receiving the role of assistant coach, he said, ‘The previous responsibility as a spin consultant, this time I got the continuation of that and a little more extensive responsibility. I am looking forward to start working with everyone in the team. I have played with some of them, I know almost all of them very well. We want to match ourselves well in the challenging tour in South Africa.”

From 2012 to 2018, Samuel played in the T20 International wearing the Caribbean jersey. This leg-spinner has taken 56 wickets at an economy rate of 6.17 while playing 52 matches. Besides, he has taken 187 wickets in 197 T20 matches played throughout his career. Economy is only 6.02.
