Gianni Infantino’s hat trick in FIFA

Kriralok Desk: Gianni Infantino scored a hat trick in FIFA. He has been elected president for the third consecutive time in this governing body of global football. As a result, the 52-year-old organizer of Switzerland will serve as the head of FIFA until 2027.

Gianni Infantino was elected president unopposed at the congress of football’s governing body in Kigali, Rwanda, on Thursday (March 16).

FIFA confirmed Infantino’s reappointment in a tweet on their official Twitter account. “Gianni Infantino has been unanimously re-elected as FIFA president for 2023-2027,” FIFA wrote on Twitter.

Long-term presidents at FIFA are nothing new, of course. Before that, the countryman Sepp Blatter was in charge of FIFA president for 17 years. He was banned in 2015.

Then Infantino took over on February 26, 2016. In 2019, he became the president of FIFA once again. He came to power for the third term in 2023 Congress.

Infantino will host the 2026 World Cup in North America. The next World Cup is being increased from 32 teams to 48 teams. The Women’s World Cup will be held in Australia and New Zealand for the first time later this year with an increase in the number of teams to 32 teams.
