Arsenal beat Liverpool in a 5-goal thriller

Kriralok Desk: A high-voltage match in the English Premier League, as it is supposed to be exciting. Football lovers enjoyed a 5-goal thriller in which Arsenal had the last laugh by defeating Liverpool.

Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday night. After Gabriel Martinelli’s early lead, Arsenal’s next two goals were scored by Bucayo Saka. Liverpool’s two goal scorers are Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino.

After this victory, Arsenal has won 8 out of 9 matches and occupied the top position of the list with 24 points. Manchester City has dropped to two with 1 point less. Liverpool is number ten.

Arsenal was ahead in attack even though they were behind in possession of the ball in the match. Most importantly, their attacks were organized. The hosts managed to keep 7 out of 11 shots on target. On the other hand, Liverpool had only 3 of their 8 shots on target.

Cheers erupted in the Arsenal camp before the match began. 57 seconds only then. Bukayo Saka passes the ball from midfield to Martin Odegor, who crosses the D-box. The young Brazilian forward Martinelli (1-0) scored with a corner shot.

Liverpool are desperate to repay the goal after digesting it. Finally, Nunes equalized in the 34th minute. The Uruguayan forward beat the goalkeeper after getting the ball in Luis Diaz’s box (1-1).

Arsenal went ahead again in the last minute of added time five minutes into the first half. Martinelli entered the box from the left side and raised a great cross. Saka sent the ball into the empty net from close range as the goalkeeper advanced early (2-1).

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp dropped Firmino when Dias left the field with an injury before the break. He equalized from Diogo Zatar’s pass in the 53rd minute as a substitute (2-2).

Liverpool made a big mistake in the 74th minute. Jota threw Jesus into the box. The referee blows the penalty whistle. Saka gave Arsenal a 3-2 lead with a successful spot kick. In the end it was this goal that made the difference. Mikel Arteta’s team leaves the field with victory.
