During the 80’s—- Football was held in schools of Bangladesh. Inter school tournaments ! Teenagers played football. They wanted to be footballer ! Their dream — I have to be great footballer !
Meanwhile, one school’s students had a football competition with another school. Great feeling— in and outside field !
But day by day, less importance was given to playing football in schools. Football direction agency, that means Bangladesh football federation didn’t manage to arrange this type of grass route football !
On other hand, media started to give much importance to cricket.
Now a days, students are taking drugs. This occurred just because the talent of them couldn’t be shown. There is no option for them. But these students and generation also want football to be back. Yes, they want football in schools, colleges and universities.
Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) is the only institution where the talent of football can be shown. Not only football, but other sports also. But the question is why don’t Bangladesh have more institutions like BKSP in Bangladesh? If we would have eight institutions for football in eight divisions, then students might haven’t taken drugs.
Can Bangladesh Football Federation( BFF) again take initiatives to run inter school football tournaments ? This is now a question ! Million Dollar question !
