Shakib to miss Canadian Global T20 league

Kriralok Desk:

Shakib Al Hasan is set to miss Canadian Global T20 if the BCB grants his request to give him some time off from the cricket.

Shakib has recently requested BCB to give him a break from the cricket despite the Tigers are scheduled to play a three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka later this month, for which the work is in progress.

According to chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu, Shakib is keen to take a break from the cricket to recharge himself and also he has the desire to perform holy Hajj.

Although no decision has been taken by the BCB about the request of Shakib Al Hasan.

Shakib was drafted by the Brampton Wolves in the Canadian Global T20 where he was set to play alongside Shahid Afridi, Lendl Simmons, Wahab Riaz and Darren Sammy.

The Canadian Global T20 is set to be held from July 25-August 11.

The T20 tournament also coincides with Bangladesh three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, which is likely to be on July 25, 27 and 29. The BCB is yet to release the schedule for the series.
