Mustafizur Rahman’s 5 wicket haul and Shakib Al Hasan’s 66 and 1/41 are totally in vain as India defeated Bangladesh by 28 runs and Bangladesh have been knocked out from the world cup.
Cutter master Mustafizur Rahman claimed 5-59 to restrict India to 314-9 in the side’s eighth game of the World Cup at Edgbaston on Tuesday.
The fate of Bangladesh was made when Tamim Iqbal missed the catch of Rohit Sharma when he was on just 9. Getting the life he didn’t make any mistake and made his fourth century in this world cup. He scored 104 runs from 92 balls, while he hit 5 sixes and 7 fours.

Skipper Mashrafe made the greatest mistake. He hit a six but in the next ball was caught behind. But he should have provide strike Saif rather than hitting.
As a result Bangladesh had to pay the charge with 28 runs defeat. Saifuddin was not out with 51 runs from 38 balls. Jaspreet Bumrah took 4 wickets for 55 runs.
The defeat knocked Bangladesh out of the tournament. After 8 matches they are in 7th position with 7 points. England are in the 4th place with 10 points. So Bangladesh have no chance for semis.
